Larry McRae

Bio

Larry McRae is the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach entering his 2nd season here at Allen High School. He comes to Allen from Clear Lake High School in Houston where he was the Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Director for all sports for 7 years. Other schools he has coached at in his 24 years of coaching include Manvel HS (10 years) Angleton HS (2 years) Desoto HS (1 Year) and Bosqueville HS (3 years). During those years he has also been Head Softball, Head Basketball, Assistant track, assistant softball, assistant powerlifting and assistant baseball.
Coach McRae’s hometown is Angleton, Texas where he graduated in 1995. He is a Proud Baylor University Football Letterman on the Offensive Line from 1995-2000. He met his wife Jamie during their time at Baylor University. They have been married for 20 Years and she is a Counselor at Allen High School. They have 2 children: his Son Jacob (16) who is a proud Allen Eagle Football Offensive Lineman and his Daughter Landry (13) is a current 8th grader at Curtis Middle School active in Volleyball, Basketball and Orchestra.

Coach McRae loves coaching and teaching! Teaching the game of football and preparing young men to be great Husbands, Fathers and Productive citizens are the things that he is the most passionate about. He also loves the interaction with college coaches and helping our players reach their goals of playing at the next level and all of the things that come with educating about the recruiting process.

His hobbies include Fishing, Grilling and spending time with all of his Family!
